FIFA The World Cup
The 2014 FIFA World Cup
You know, often times I only found myself going to soccer games because of the cute guys I would see who always seemed to rock the short silky shorts and tree trunk thighs.
This year is the first year I have really started watching soccer and trying to understand what was happening in the actual game.
So let us go over the basics shall we? Right now the whole world is glued to the FIFA World Cup.
http://www.fifa.com/index.html
It's an easy conversation starter, and you can do a little brush up on current events (because games are every day, and a lot changes every day) and bam you have yourself a date to be one of the 715.1 million who watch the final game with someone special.
Just for Laughs, this is how the Minions would describe the Wold Cup thus far......

What is the World Cup?
The World Cup is an international association football competition that is contested by senior men's national teams who are members of the Federation International Football Association (FIFA)- In Laymans Terms
- It is a world wide competition where football i.e. soccer teams made up of all men play to win and win it all.
- It is held every four years; the current title holders are Spain who won the World Cup in 2010
- The World Cup is the most widely viewed sporting event in the world, exceeding the Olympics, yes the Olympics. In 2006 it was estimated nearly 715.1 million people were watching the final game (that is a 9th of the worlds population)
How do you Talk the Talk of the World Cup
If you want to sound like you are at all proficient within the World Cup lingo see the talking points below- The World Cup has been going on since 1930
- It happens every four years
- Out of the 19 tournaments there have been eight national teams that have claimed the World Cup title.
- Brazil has five titles (they are the only team who has made it into every tournament)
- Italy four titles
- West Germany three titles
- Argentina and Uruguay two titles each
- England, France and Spain each have one title
- The World Cup is being held in Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup title
- Six of the seven continents in the world have teams playing in the World Cup

Surviving Sports
NBA Playoff Party Anyone?
Remember the NBA playoffs against the Heat and Spurs is June 5 @ 9 p.m. ET
Well if you must sit through seven possible games, please make it worth it for yourself. Here I have supplied food ideas for your NBA playoff. So invite that cute boy over to your apartment and impress him with NBA lingo as well as awesome NBA food.
Well lets get creative, how EASY is it to do a burger with some awesome basketball shaped cheese? I would be impressed, my husband would be impressed and really that is all that matters.
Another quick treat, is throwing some sugar cookies together with orange frosting, the hard part comes when pipping the cookie to look like a basketball, yes I know it sounds hard. Never fear I found a step by step picture of what it looks like.
- Tip on saving money- instead of buying a piping bag, just pour the frosting in a Ziploc baggie, cut the tip off and there you have it, a homemade piping bag.
With all parties, veggies and dip is a must, so why not get crafty and make a basketball veggie tray? Take a look to your left, now how cute is that? This is really simple first, you take a pie tin, fill it with ranch, then add standing carrots and make the basketball lines with cucumber slices. This quick treat will make all the boys come to your yard!
