Even if you aren't a sports follower, you have probably still heard that the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers Donald Sterling has been banned for life from the NBA.

Here are your conversation talking points

Who: 

• Donald Sterling 
• Aquired  L.A. Clippers in 1981 for $12.5 Million 
• As of 2014 according to Forbes Magazine the Clippers are worth $575 Million and is ranked 13th out of 30 teams 

What: 

• Donald Sterling was banned April 29, 2014 from all NBA activities, fined $2.5 million after a recording of him making racist comments was made public 
• Ban of Sterling was greeted with warm welcome from other NBA owners, coaches and players 
•   What was said? Sterling was caught on an audio recording with his girlfriend telling her she could never bring black people to a game. (the recording lasted another five minutes with similar comments) 

When: 

• Audio recording happened April 9, 2014
• Sterling banned April 29, 2014 

This will be a story that will stay in the news for a while, because final decision have not been made. Decisions such as, will the NBA force Sterling to give up the clippers? Can Sterling fight this in court?  What does this mean for clippers? Who will be the new owner?
