*** How is the MVP chosen you ask? Well let me tell you
Back in the day, when the MVP award started (1955-56 season)
players were voted on by other players in the NBA, this lasted until the
1979-80 season, since then the MVP has been decided by votes cast by
sportscasters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada.
The point system is as such:
First place vote=10
Second place vote= 7
Third place vote=5
Fourth place vote=3
Fifth place vote= 1
No one in NBA history has ever gotten unanimous MVP votes,
the only two players who have gotten close are Shaquille O’Neal in 1999-2000
season and LeBron James in 2012-2013 season. Each player fell short of a
unanimous vote by 1 vote.
Play on Playas!!
